Growing up in Tasmania, I’ve learned to love each of the distinct four seasons. As any Tasmanian will tell you, we have four very apparent seasons on the island, and sometimes we experience all four in one day!

Summer in Tasmania is truly the highlight of my year. With food and wine festivals like Festivale in the North and Taste Festival in the South, Tasmania really comes to life at the turn of the New Year.

As we enter the second quarter of the year, the entire island turns various shades of orange and brown, marking the depth of Autumn and a shift towards shorter days. Winter is certainly a time to stay indoors and cook hearty meals to counteract the outside chill, but before you know it Spring marks the return of sunny days as the garden comes back to life in an abundance of colour.

There’s truly nowhere else in the world more magical than Tasmania.
